About

I am a lifelong self-taught artist, florist, illustrator, published author and retired kindergarten teacher. I'm currently residing on Vashon Island in the beautiful Pacific Northwest with my husband Shawn, our 2 cats - Dulce Diablo and Phoebe La Fantöme, our son's wolf-dog - Meika, and our flock of 12 chickens. We love gardening, traveling, camping, rockhounding, birdwatching, cooking, hiking and learning about everything!

I have always been inspired by nature and beauty.  My art reflects my broad interests and styles as I will never be able to paint all of the ideas and love so many genres -- still life, landscapes, sea scapes, portraits, animals, birds, cityscapes and more! I have more ideas than I can complete in my lifetime.

I create both in my home studio and plein air. I am a mixed media artist creating oil paintings, acrylic paintings, mixed media art, book art, junk journals, inspiration packs, gel prints, collographs, calligraphy and more.  I am also a Stencil Designer with PM Artist Studio.  My stencils can be viewed and purchased at their site here.

I aspire to create assemblage art in the near future and would love to learn more about sculpture and pottery.  I love all art media and continue to learn, grow, explore and experiment!
